SAPGUI for Java 7.10 rev 5 - possible bug

Former Member

Hi all,

I installed yesterday the rev 5 of the SAPGUI for JAVA. Everything looked fine until I tried to use transaction SE10. Within SE10 the normal drilldown does not happen anymore. Instead, I always get pushed into the main request/task screen. Within rev 4 everything worked fine.

Can someone please confirm this, so I know if it is a bug or just my config.

Thanks

Christian

My configuration is:

Hello Christian,

it seems to similar to an issue we are currently investigating. We are trying to resolve this as quick as possible.

In some cases it is possible to workaround the bug by clicking only once and pressing F2 after this.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards

I am also seeing problems with Rev. 5 for Mac OS X. I initially posted in the Mac section:

Thanks.

Hi Rolf-Martin,

I've installed rev5 just today and I find similar bug (at least by my opinion) that backend ABAP editor doesn't work well when user use double-click with cursor on Data Dictiona object, name of include, keyword ... e.g. FORM, etc. All these clicks lead to move actual row to the top of edit window.

I think that se10 double-click to "folder icon" cannot be solved by F2 (I've tried it but no success).

Could I ask you if there is an update of rev.5? No message about new revision has been received by my e-mail, but I know that dotted revisions are usually not released in public.

Thank you for info,

Pavel

Hello Pavel,

the problem you are describing seems to be caused by the same bug.

In case of screen elements defined as hotspot (react on single click), the workaround I have proposed might not work. This seems to be the case in se10.

Because of the severity of the issue and the fact, that it is affecting many users, we have decided not to provide a fix as part of a dotted revision but to ship SAP GUI for Java 7.10 rev 6 earlier than originally planned to make the fix available to all of you.

We are currently in the process of building this version. As soon as it has passed QA, you will see an announcement in this forum.

Best regards
