If I test the BEx service from SICF on BI 7.0 machine the screen is opening up with http://hostname.hostname:port/sap/BW/bex URL and ending with u201Csever not found u201Cmessage .If I use http://hostname:port/sap/BW/bex straight away on browser I could able to get a login screen then once I do login I am getting u201C500 connection time out u201Cmessage.
I would appreciate all your help and suggestion to sort out this issue.
Hai,
Check the URL prefix in the Table/View-RSPOR_T_PORTAL in sm30. Change the URL by putting the fully qualified domain name as mentioned in the SAP_BW system in the portal. Also check the settings of the domain name in the JCoRFCProvider in Visual Administrator.
Thanks and Regards,

Hai,
Go to url- http://hostname:portnumber/nwa. Click on Deploy and Change tab and try to execute the Postinstall steps of technical configuration of BI-Java in Configuration Wizard.
You need to details of ABAP User,Hostname and Client details and Java User,Host and Port details and clieck on Next.
It will automatically creates the certificates,Jco RFC destinations etc.,

You have to use full qualifed domain name.
check the parameter icm/host_name_full
and activate SICF
default_host/sap/bw/BEx
default_host/sap/bw/Mime
if you set up correctly, and still not working. please test ping host.domain
your system might not recognize your domain.
