Hi Vijay,

I am in need to import PDF and image files in my repository.

Currently there is no PDF and Image files are stored in the repository.

Anyone let me know about how to import the same to my repository

Kindly follow the link below for the import of Pdfs in the MDM Repository:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c01f54a2-99f1-2a10-5aa5-dcc50870...

The import of Images is very similar to the Import of Pdfs.

Also you can go through the SAP Documentation for your help

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdm550/helpdata/en/43/e0615f82b40a2ee10000000a11466f/frameset.htm

Go to->Record Mode->Working With Objects->Object Operations.

Pdfs and Images etc come in the Object Tables. Hence by following the Pdf and the sap doc, you will know the complete procedure of importing Pdf and Images into MDM.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

To upload Images(and PDFs)

1)Logon to Data Manager.Select Images as Current table(PDF in case of PDF).

2).in Record pane Right click-Add .It will ask u for a data group.Data Group is a container where u store the diffrent files .

3I)nitially u dnt hav any data group created Click Edit-Select Data Groups-Right click-Add Child-Enter a data group say D1.

Now Select D1 then Click Add to add images .Browse for the image files .

4)Select one of the Option Store in Repository or Link to original file and say add. After import is complete .click Close u can see the images are added.

To link images to records create a source file for main table with Field say image .

In Import manager map the corresponding image fileds.

You will have to do the value mapping .and then execute import.U can see the images linked with records

Or alternatively u can use data manger(DM) to link records to images. In DM select record goto record detail-select image field-Double click .Then select data group say D1 u can seee images in D1.select one of them then add Click OK.

Similarly for PDFs

Hi Vijay,

Which elearning Ppt are you refering to?

And regarding the Email - we are adviced not to mention the Email address in SDN post.

You can definitely raise a question in SDN Forums itself as when you have any difficulty.

We will try to solve it

Thanks and Regards
