Error while creating the Excise Doc in J1IIN

Hi Friends,

When we are trying to create an excise doc using J1IIN, we are getting error:

"Error updating table J_1IPART2."

What could be the possible reason for this?

Check if number range has been maintained for the register type you are trying to post your EI in.

check the last number generated for this register type in table J_1ipart2 and compare it with the current number of the number range object.

Thanks for the reply. We did a detailed ABAP debug of the std transaction J1IIN, it was due to current number for object J_1IINTPR2. We changed the current number for this object and that resolved the issue

Dear Abhishek

Go to IMG Path -- Logistics-General --> Tax on Goods Movements --> India --> Account Determination --> Specify G/L Accounts per Excise Transactions.

Here check whether you have maintained G/L Accounts in all the columns starting from RG23A BED.
