what is status profile and what is the significance of it ???

i know that we assign this to the Q- info record

Hi Rahul,

A profile used to control user statuses.

A status profile is created by the user in general status management.

In a status profile you can:

• Define the sequence in which user statuses can be activated

• Define initial statuses

• Allow or prohibit certain business transactions

It is similar as the Purchase Order release, (As you are a MM champ I m trying to explain it in that way), as there is release strategy is available for PO release to restrict the Users processing to PO up to certain Business completes.

Similarly the Status Profile restricts all users to process the further (the Next) process till the previous completes.

- The User status is profile is created at trx BS02.

- For the business process there are several business transactions available.

E.g. For inspection lot a process is required to be designed is NO STOCK POSTING BEFORE UD. pls refer the [Wiki Document|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/plm/setupofauserprofiletoavoidtheUDpriortoRR] that explained the entire settings.

Hi,

It is nothing but a folder to consist of code and description related to your process.

Through status profile you can control your std business Transaction.

Like to Restrict the UD if the result recording not completed.

In info record you can control your vendor sample to regular production cycle.
