Hi All

I ma Fico consultant working in MNC.i am having one end to end implimentation exp. I want to know about sap pre sales. what it means. from where i can get the material for study. all the information about it. Please suggest and provide website or link for reference.

HOpe that you thinking of switching of to SAP presales...

The Ideal SAP Pre Sales Manager would have good experience in IT industry or IT Services industry with 3 to 4 years in SAP implementation services.

-Will have experience of providing technical support to consulting business development

-Will conduct requirements assessment workshop with business users

-Will play the role of a Lead consultant / Project Manager at least for one consulting project deliveries

-A good presenter and communicator, who enjoys building relationships and possesses client management skills

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

She/he needs to be based out of the identified Global Delivery (GD) Centre location.

Responsible for winning the Global Delivery Consulting engagement with SAP customers through close working with GD Engagement Managers, subsidiary CEMs, subsidiary Project Managers, GDC Delivery team members and GD partners.

Participate in the conceptualization of possible Consulting offerings and identification of GD service components within that.

Take accountability for preparing Consulting proposals with Global Delivery responsibilities incorporating relevant input from the delivery teams.

Collaborate with CEMs and GD engagement managers in the presentation of the proposal to SAP customer and providing necessary support / clarifications to the account team in the proposal evaluation phase.

Encourage effective teamwork between engagement and delivery teams.

Performance Indicators

Assigned GD contracted days target in relevant segment / solution

On time delivery of GD proposals based on established SLAs

Reduction of turn-around time for response to Field requirements by bringing in process efficiencies and building country-specific customized templates

Knowledge Management and creation of effective reusable proposal components

-Engineering Degree / Engineering Degree + MBA from reputed institution

-Strong Knowledge and implementation experience in assigned solution area

-In-depth understanding of the business processes associated with the assigned solution area in at least 2-3 industry domains

-Exposure to Project Management, Proposal and RFP responses

-Good understanding of ASAP implementation methodology

-Overview knowledge of SAP solution offerings

-Familiarity with Services Business Development process in consulting domain

The above roles and responsibilities are common in SAP Pre Sales profile.

Hi,

Sales and distribution is the middle part where all process will be linked ie pre sales and post sales.

pre sales activities are inquiry and Quotation. and CRM - ie customer relationship management.

post sales activities are CS- customer services.

As you said that you have implementation experience - take the business process and then learn.
