Hi everybody!!

As much as the space in HD is necessary to be able to make a Client Copy??

After the installation, the still servant with approximately 11 GB of free space in C (Total 30 GB) and around 100 free GB in E (Total 190 GB) , in E installed SAP himself ECC6 along with the data base ( Oracle 10,0,2 ), when all tag aiming at the record E did installation itself, but in a minute to make the Client Copy he remains without space in the Drive C (38,3 MB Free)

The Client Copy is for the "Client 300 Test", the Client Copy in DEV with 3 Client ( 100 DEV, 120 QA DEV, 130 Sandbox ) it could come true trouble-free

thanks

Hi, In general to determine the space of a client you can use the programme RSTABLESIZE documented in note 118823.

Your datafiles are in E:\ ??

Where is the oraarch directory? It is in C:\?

Your SAP ECC is: Abap only or Abap + Java?

Erick Ilarraza

Hi Eric,

SAP ECC is only Abap, in drive E it's datafiles and in drive C the oraarch directory!

thanks

Hi Manuel,

One reason could be that during the client copy the system generates a lot of archives redo logs in consecuence you get into an archiver stuck.

Options:

- Turn off archive mode in your system, if it is a DEV system is Ok.

Or.

- Add more space to C:\ partition.

Or.

- Change the oraarch destination to the E:\ Directory (Take care about the size of the partition).

Best Regards,

Erick ILarraza

Hi,

One note here:

>

>

> - Turn off archive mode in your system, if it is a DEV system is Ok.

>

Only Turn Off archive mode if you do not care about the system, if you are willing to lose data in case of media error, if whatever development you are doing are of not importance to you.

Lots of people give the advice of turning off archive, lots of people follow the advice without thinking that on the DEVELOPMENT system there are DEVELOPERS working and, most of the time, they cannot afford losing one (or more) day work.

Hi,

Your are right.

Maybe the best anwers is:

- Turn off archive mode in your system.

- Execute Copy Client.

- Turn on archive mode.

Assuming nobody is working on the system during the client copy.

Best Regards,

Erick Ilarraza.

Hi,

The facility is new, just finished a few days ago, I stopped by this problem without being able to deliver those will parameterization IF!

How do I Turn off archive mode?

From what I saw, I need to configure so that SAP can work well with Oracle.

I had always worked with SQL Server, there had not had such problems, but now opted to install with Oracle, I would greatly appreciate if I could give some guidance for the initial parameterization.

thanks

Where do the "Client Copy" goes down the process in reviewing the "TCode ST22" I find the following:

Runtime Errors DBIF_SETG_SQL_ERROR

Date and Time 19.08.2008 06:21:19

Short text

SQL error occurred when accessing table.

What can you do?

Note which actions and input led to the error.

For further help in handling the problem, contact your SAP administrator

.

You can use the ABAP dump analysis transaction ST22 to view and manage

termination messages, in particular for long term reference.

How to correct the error

Database error text........: "ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol

error"

Internal call code.........: "[SETG/GET /INDX_HIER ]"

Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).

If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to

find an interim solution in an SAP Note.

If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following

keywords:

"DBIF_SETG_SQL_ERROR" " "

"SAPLSHI2" or "LSHI2U25"

"STREE_READ_BUFFERED_DATA_GENER"

If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error

notification to SAP, include the following information:

1. The description of the current problem (short dump)

To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File

(Unconverted)".

2. Corresponding system log

Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.

Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes

after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File

(Unconverted)".

3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP

program: The source code of the program

In the editor, choose "Utilities->More

Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".

4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which

actions and input led to the error.
