Role to assign Maintenance Cycle by Change Manager in ChaRM

Hello All,

We have successfully configured CHARM in SolMan. Initially, we used sap_all profile for all user involved in CHARM process (i.e. Requestor, Service Desk employee, Change Manger, Developer, Tester, IT_Operator).

Now, we are in the process of identifying security roles required for each user. In this regard, we are refering to security guide for SAP Solution Manager 7.0 as of SP16 but we are on SP15.

In case of change manager, we have assigned following roles as per the guide:

SAP_CM_CHANGE_MANAGER_COMP

SAP_CM_DEVELOPER_COMP

SAP_CM_TESTER_COMP

SAP_CM_OPERATOR_COMP

SAP_CM_PRODUCTIONMANAGER_COMP

SAP_SOCM_REQUESTER

SAP_CM_ADMINISTRATOR_COMP

Even after assigning above roles, change manager is unable to assign maintenance cycle as the pop up window is not coming while saving after authorizing the change request.

We also looked into SAP notes 881553 and 2770693 but no luck.

Any more info from any one in this regards?

Dear Satish,

Do you have any red alerts on top of your change request?

If yes, you cannot change the status of this change request.

Do a double click on the alert flag and clear/maintain any alerts first.

I had just the same problem.
