Hello,

Could any one give step by step process to move IR entites to QA

(All steps by developer and basis)

what is Tools--> Release transfer,will it be used in Transporting the entities in IR from Dev to QA

Hi,

Copy the Namespace With in the Same SWCV

If we want to copy the namespace with in the same SWCV means create the new Namespace & we have to copy the Objects Individually. And Change the Namespace in newly copied Message Type with new Namespace. So that this will reflect in MM. select the new Message type in the new message mapping. Otherwise Error may come.

Hi,

Moving Dev to QA changes

1.SLD: We have common SLD, then you may not need any changes on SLD side.

The Business systems you had used, will be the same you may use in Q-Landscape.

2.IR: No changes required, you need to export .tpz file from Development box and have to import it in Q-box

3.ID: do we need to recreate it fully or after importing,just change the Communication channels will do.

You need to reconfigure all communication channels, if SLD changes are OK then business system will change automatically and in communication channel just filled in correct IP/password etc.

---> Similar to IR, you can transport these objects also. But you may need to do related changes to communication channels, if you will be referring to different Sender systems and Receiver systems.

4.RWB: such as alerts,and if there are any...

The Alerts will not be transported....you need to create it as new setup for every box.

Hey

Release transfer is not used to transfer objects from Dev to QA or Prd.

Release transfer is used to copy the design objects to other SWCV but within the same box.

To transfer IR objects to QA,you simply need to go to tools->export and export the design objects,they will go and sit in the export directory of XI server in the form of .tpz files.Then ask the basis guy to move this .tpz file from export directory to import directory(it will be done manually,cut-paste)

Then login to IR of QA and go to tools->import and import those objects.

Hello,

Release Transfer is used for having a copy of developed SWCV. Now you can again work on the source or say original SWCV and then you do release transfer the changes would be automatically appear in the copied version and you can export that to QA system using tools->export in Development box and then tools->import in QA.
