hi friends,
what is the significance of delivery unit in MM02
thanks,
siva
Hi there,
For eg you define a pencil as a material master. Since you measure pencils in terms of each, base unit of measure will be EA.
But you sell pencils as a pack of pencils. Each pack = 10 pieces of EA.
So delivery unit will be PACK where you have to maintain conversion factor as 1 PACK = 10 EA.

Delivery Unit:
ex:
If we set delivery unit as 30 system takes the quantity multiple of 30
if the customer orders 70 system willot allow
if he orders 60system will take it 30*2=60

Hi there,
Consider this. We have a pencil for which we identify it as each. So base unit of measurement is each EA. But we sell the pencils as packs PK. We need to maintain the conversion factor that 1PK = 10 EA.
So selling unit or delivery unit is PK & base unit is EA.
Hope this clarifies your question.

Delivery unit
Only exact multiples of this number can be delivered.
Example
The delivery unit consists of a number and a unit of measure
.
In the case of a delivery unit of 30 pieces, 30, 60, 90, and so on pieces can be delivered, but not, however, 100 pieces
