delivery document split on commodity code?

Anybody knows or it is obvious to split a delivery based on commodity code?

My client requests this, but is this really necessary?

Dear Eric

For invoice you can force invoice split if commodity code is different via standard copy controls. But for delivery, I dont think so. However, you can try with delivery user exit V50S0001.
