SAPLICENSE issue

Former Member

Hi All,

I have installed a new license through SLICNESE but saplicense -show , only temporary license only.

Does it required a sap restart? Is there any problem with kernel or release?

saplicense does not read the actual license. Okay with Slicense.

Hi,

In Slicense Click on "New License" button. If you have installaed license correctly then it will show you. If license not installed correctly then click "New license" button and Press Install licnese button and select license file which you have downloaded from Market place and click ok.

Your new license will be installed.

The new signed licensed (as of NW 7.0) can´t be displayed using the command line too. you need to use the transaction SLICENSE for that.

Markus,

Does you mean to say that there is some bug with SAP ?

Does it mean that everything seems to be okay??

Slicense shows the license is installed properly....

Hi,

As per your log only TEMPLICENSE installed in your system. You have to install permanent license which you got it from SAP Service Market place using SLICENSE tcode.

That is no bug.

Please read the "blue box" content on

http://service.sap.com/licensekey

and note 870871.

Markus,

It does not resolve my issue. The note is just explaining you how to install the license and I have already done it.

My question is still unanswered...

There is no issue.

If you start the transacation SLICENSE and press on "New licenses" and you see a green license entry, then everything is OK.

As I wrote initially, the "new licenses" can´t be displayed using the OS command line too "saplicense", that´s why you only see the temporary license that was created during initial installation.
