I have installed the new license for my SAP ECC 6.0 through SLICENSE transaction. just happen to check through telnet

saplicense -show

sapdev:devadm> saplicense -show

LICENSE system: DEV hardware key: TEMPLICENSE expiration_date: 20080904

installation no: INITIAL key: NYOD9G81DGM4XKOKSKFNFAGA

userlimit: 0 productid: R3_ORA

system-nr: INITIAL_SYSTEM_IDX

      • license useable ***

Why it is still showing the old temporary license?

I also checked the following?

sapdev:devadm> saplicense -test pf=/usr/sap/DEV/SYS/profile/DEV_DVEBMGS10_sapdev

Protocol saplicense test:

      • Read sapsytem name

ok, sapsytem name = DEV

      • Read message server host

ok, host = sapdev

      • Read message server service port

ok, service port = sapmsDEV

      • Connect to message server

ok, connect done

      • Read hardware key from message server

ok, got hardware key

      • Detach from message server

ok, detached

      • Check hardware key

ok, hardware key = U1082555507

      • Connect to database

ok, connected

      • Check license

ok, check done

      • Disconnect database

ok, database disconnected

test result: license test ok, temporary license activ

      • status unknown (license ignored) ***

Hi,

The following URL clears your doubt about the system.

Please check the system license by giving profile path as mentioned in the above URL.

Thanks

You install new type of licenses in SLICENSE.

Saplicense not works with new type licenses.

Check in SLICENSE --> NEW licenses.

Hi Sergo,

I have already installed new license and its showing me in SLICENSE and also in System--> Status 3112999.

But why through command prompt saplicense -show shows only the temporary license?

Can I delete the old or leave it?

Will it create any problem ???

We have many systems where old license are not deleted, without problems, but one time in one system i'm see strange situation -->

I always delete the old licenses to avoid confusion, if the permanent license is properly installed then it should not represent a problem.

Hi Sergo,

Thanks for your reply.....

I can't understand, you have a problem with your system ? Something works not properly? If you install NEW type license and you can able login and work properly, can follow to Mr Juan Reyes advice .

Are your newly installed license in "NEW licenses" -->( DIGITALLY-SIGNED LICENSE KEYS ) or "OLD licenses" ?

P.S. I repeat : SAPLICENSE doesn't works with "NEW TYPE" licenses, you will never see license in

"saplicense -show" command.

Regards.
