Item category and account assignment categorie in Purchasing

Hello Gurus,

what the function of Item category and account assignment categorie in Purchasing ? what's their relationship ?

Hi bo Zang,

I think you are working on third party scenario.I would tell you that the standard Schedule Line category used for 3rd party case is CS wherin you will have the purchasing document type and Account assignment group.The account assignment group is used for pricing in case of PO's.The purchasing document type will be your PO that will be created automatic on creation of 3rd party Sales Order.
