Hi,

i have successfully installed NW2004s ABAP Edition on my PC. Now i want to upgrade the license.

calling saplicense in dos-shell brings up an error:

*** SAPLICENSE (Release 700) ERROR ***
    ERROR:   Can not set DbSl trace function
    DETAILS: DbSlControl(DBSL_CMD_IMP_FUNS_SET) failed with return code 20
    RC-INFO: error loading dynamic db-library - check environment for:
             dbms_type = <db-type>  (e.g. ora)
             DIR_LIBRARY = <path to db-dll>  (e.g. /usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe/run)

I tried to install the license via GUI, but reached a timeout after 300 sec.

The program SAPLSLI1 has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime

How to solve this problem?

welcome to SDN

to updat eh license using run-cmd you should have logged on to the pc as user nspadm.
