Hi Satish,

Thanks for sending the helpful links...

Well i have gone through the link and was trying to configure the Desk Support, its gives an error for a profile parameter icm/host_name_full , it requires a FQDN name for the Solution manager host machine..but i have installed it on a Workgroup , so could u pls tell me what i m suppose to put in there as the hostname...?

I would really appreciate if u pls reply at ur earliest convenience.

Cheers..

Hi Abdul,

I assume that you have done a Local installation rather Domain installation. If so, though you have it installed with a workgroup, you can go ahead the hostname.workgroup.com

For example, host name is XYZ, workgroup name is ABC, then FQDN becomes, XYZ.ABC.COM.

One more thing which is very important is, maintain the WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file entry, i.e. enter the ip address give a space and enter FQDN.

I hope it is clear to you and helpful.

Satish.

Hello Abdul,

Sorry for the delay in responding. I was on my weekend.

Well, as far as DSWP unkown settings error concern, have a look at the following thread.

https://forums.sdn.sap.com/watches!add.jspa?forumID=156&threadID=459867

If this solution does not correct the error, let me know which SP you have.

Hope it is helpful.

Satish.
