PP/DS Planned Orders transferred with different verison of PPM

Hi guys,

In APO there is a valid PPM A, in R3 there are 2 valid Production versions - A & B.

When the PP/DS Planned order is created it is assigned PPM A, but when you view the planned order in R3 (MD04) it has Production Version B assigned.

What could be causing this?

Not sure,Just have a quick check in Material Master MRP4 tab, what is the selection method maintained. it should be 2.

Yes, The selection method is set to 2.

Where do you maintain that APO is the driver for selecting PPM?

Example: If APO selects PPM A, then R3 should use PPM A and not reselect

Hi Ian,

This is quite strange. I would like to know the process of creating SNP PPM that you follow. I mean if you are creating them in APO separately or are getting it CIFed from ECC. Also do check the reference PPDS PPM for the SNP PPM i.e. the reference PPDS PPM for PPM A. They should refer to same ECC Prod. Version if CIFed from ECC.
