could you please try to explain me, what an IDoc base type (in German "Basistyp") is?
If possible in one or two sentences

so you can say: An IDoc base type, is an IDoc type which comes from SAP and is "integrated" in the system
SAP has provided std list of IDCOs which can be used based on the business requirement.
refer the below link;
sometime it may require that ur client want some more information in the IDOC so u have to extend the basis type IDOC.

Some IDoc types are supplied by SAP in the standard system are called the basic types.
