how to create RFC between Enterprise portal and Solution Manager in /smsy?

if in sm59, what would be type?

hi,

Yes creation of RFC is through SMSY, while creating the system component.You will have to select the system->SAP ENTERPRISE PORTAL and then right click it and create system using an asistant (wizard) .RFC will be created automatically.

Im not sure if we need to create RFC between EP and solman system.

I dont remember if i did anything like that for Java stack systems.

I did it only for ABAP stack systems and also for double stack systems.
