Sampling scheme C1 and D1?

Former Member

Experts,

Can someone pls help with understanding this functionality of C1 and D1?.I know the definitions but still i'm not able to figure out on how the functionality works.

The definition says for C as

"For an attributive inspection, the highest number of nonconforming units or the highest number of defects in a sample that leads to an acceptance of the inspection lot"

and D as "For an attributive inspection, the lowest number of nonconforming units and/or the lowest number of defects in a sample that results in a rejection."

So suppose i have the sample size cal in the lot for Qty 100 as 32 from sampling plan..Which is understood but where does C1 and D1 play its role here.I mean for inspection severity 4 ,lot size 100,sample size 32 ,C1 1 and C2 ..from here on how to test the logic.

regards,

Naik

Hi Naik,

The acceptance no and rejection no. will change according to AQL level. You can go through below link. It will clear your dout

Dear naik,

The link provided by amol is very good and chek part_1 too i.e

see some useful information and settings related to your question.

Attributive inspection

In an attributive inspection, you can plan dependent double and multiple samples. If the result for the current sample lies between the acceptance and rejection numbers, the sample size

is increased according to the sampling scheme. Once you have recorded the results for this new sample, the sample is evaluated again using the updated valuation parameters.

Dependent Multiple Samples

If you set this indicator, in sampling procedure, you can process double samples and multiple samples (up to seven)( c1,c2,u2026c7 and d1,d2,d3u2026.d7 are related to the seven samples) in accordance with ISO 2859-1.

Examples:

You are processing an inspection with dependent multiple samples.

When you valuate the inspection results, you cannot make a conclusive valuation for the inspection lot, because the number of nonconforming units or defects in the sample determined during results recording lies between the acceptance and rejection number.

The system then determines the next sampling plan from the sampling scheme that forms the basis for inspection.

The sample size and the number of nonconforming units cumulate when you process dependent multiple samples.

Prerequisites

If you want to use dependent multiple samples, you must:

u2022 Use a sampling type with a sampling scheme.

u2022 Use a valuation mode for an attributive inspection.

u2022 Set the indicator 'dependent multiple samples' in Customizing for the valuation rule and define the function module for the valuation of dependent multiple samples.

u2022 Set the indicator for dependent multiple samples in the sampling procedure.

Note: Multiple samples and inspection points are mutually exclusive.

The valuation rule

The valuation rule is usually defined in the valuation mode and is included in this way in the sampling procedure.

There are two valuation rules for inspecting independent multiple samples; one for characteristic-based decisions for individual samples and one for characteristic-based decisions for all samples.

The valuation rule that links the decisions relating to the individual samples to a collective decision for the characteristic is stored directly in the sampling procedure, together with the valuation mode for the samples.

IMG path for valuation rule and settings

Quality planning - Basic data - sample, spc u2013 Define valuation mode

Here first check for valuation mode

1 100 attributive inspection with nonconforming units

2 110 attributive inspection with nonconforming units / manual

3 200 attributive inspection with number of defects

4 210 attributive inspection with number of defects / manual

and then modify valuation rule.

In valuation rule select Attributive Inspection by Nonconforming Units or attributive inspection with number of defects and assign some functional module ex QEBR_DEP_MULT_SAMPLING.

Attributive Inspection by Nonconforming Units

If you set this indicator, you define the valuation mode using the attributive valuation based on the nonconforming units.

For a sampling procedure with this valuation mode, valuation occurs using a sampling plan consisting of sample size and acceptance number. The acceptance number and the number of nonconforming units are compared.

Attributive Inspection by Number of Defects

If you set this indicator, you define the valuation mode using the attributive valuation based on the number of defects.

For a sampling procedure with this valuation mode, valuation occurs using a sampling plan consisting of sample size and acceptance number. The acceptance number and the number of defects are compared.

I donot have access to work on this. Please work on it and revert back.
