Product with External Vendor

Hello,

I had a material that needs to be externally procured to a 3rd party vendor. The material was successfully CIF to APO and likewise the vendor also. When I view it Product master data with the specific product with its specific location, it says that it doesnt exist. Does anyone encounter the same message?

please check the MRP type of the product in R/3 (in material master-MM03)..It should be X0 and also in the parameters of material in the integration model. Also check the location is ciffed to APO

Hi,

As Manish said, the products are required to be extended manually on to the vendor as the same is not CIFed to APO even if the MRP Type of the same is maintained as X0.

So these are the activities required:

1. Extending the product manually to the Vendor.

2. Assigning it to active model.

Vendor when CIFed to APO will be created as location of the type 1011.Are you trying to View the product at vendor location location and system says it does not exists.You would need to write an user exit to create an product at vendor location or manually maintain so.
