Restoring backup of SLD

Hi,

We ran into some issues while transporting new business systems across Dev to QA. But before the business systems were moved, a backup was taken of the QA SLD along with the new technical systems moved. Since we are facing problems with the QA transport, if WE APPLY the backup of the QA SLD , will it create any issues or would bring back the SLD to the state it was before the back up was taken??

Please advise as SLD has been a very sensitive issue with us..
