ATP and storage location

Hello,

Is it possible to set an availability check to request stock from only one storage location?

Currently in our system, when a user creates an order for a quantity that exceeds the amount available at one storage locations, the systems allocates the remainder from another storage locations, if available. Only once all available stock is allocated, and there is not enough amongst all locations, will the user get an ATP screen. Is it possible to setup the ATP per storage location?

Hi,

It is possible to indicate to the system that you would like the availability check NOT TO CHECK the stock at the storage location level. This indicator is used to set the scope of the availability check.

It is used to switch off the check at storage location level. You create a reservation for a particular storage location. However, the scope of the availability check is set in such a way as to exclude the storage location. In this case, the system carries out the check at plant level only and does not take the storage location into account that is specified in the reservation.

Do you know where we can get this indicator availability check NOT TO CHECK the stock at the storage location level

I am struck in a problem where we want to turn off ATP for a particular Storage Location.

In the Item level - Shipping tab. The 'storage location' field is parallel to the field 'Plant'.

Since the storage location is not defaulted in the sales order, the availability check happens at plant level which includes all storage locations in that plant. If you manually input storage location in the sales order, then the availability check happens at storage location level (in that particular storage location) only and not at the plant level. The standard SAP doesn't have the feature of defaulting storage location in sales order and we need to do enhancement for this functionality.
