Hi Gurus,

One of my SAP server have 5.1 version of GRC. I am installing a new standalone system of same version. Can I import the ruleset of the existing server to the new server?

Thanks

Partha

That is quite easy:

In CC5.2:

- Go to "Rule Architect" tab, click on "Utilities" then click on "Export Rules".

- click on "Get Rules"

- Ignore the warning message by clicking on "OK" (or enter the name of the system to which you would like the rules to be exported).

- Get the file and do the opposite on the destination server.

I recommend to use the same logical system on both servers so that you don't have to change the name in the ruleset.

Beware that some specific elements such as configuration values (table VIRSA_CC_CONFIG or mitigating controls are not exported). This is the case in CC 5.3.

Good luck.

HI Partha,

Yes you can do this by Exporting the ruleset from previous one and then importing the same in your new one.
