Hi All,
When i'm trying to import the profiles in rz10, i'm getting the following error message.
Profile Could not be read. The import is therefore not possible.
The profile directory is accesible at the OS level.
The system is newly installed and i'm trying to make some parameter changes via rz10.
Please suggest.
Regards,
Prasanna
Please Check the permission at os level.
1 .Does your instance /default profile have permissions to write .
2. did you manage to import the profile after installation.
rz10-utilities-import profiles --of active servers.
Then edit the profile and see it allows you to do so.
3.Can you login at OS level with sidadm and try to edit the instance or default profile.
Hope it works.

How long is your profile name ?
try:
1) rename to short name like START_ABC_Somename to ST_ABC_Somename
2) import profile 'ST_ABC_Somename
3) Change profile:
RZ10 -> 'Administration Data' -> 'change'
apply the short name into the field 'Activation in operating system file'
cheers.

Hi,
Make sure that all the application servers are active.
Follow up the link which shows how to import the profile parameters after installation or an upgrade of server.

Log into the server where you are running RZ10, using the SAP sys admin. Then, attempt to read the profile share (not directory, but the sapmnt and saploc shares). Is this successful?
