Problem with sales area when creating material

Dear Friends,

i am facing problem when creating material master, when i give organisation level I/P i.e, Sales Org and Dist Ch it was giving me an error message as "Sales org. 1500, distr. channel 15 invalid sales area"

I have assigned the sales area in the Enterprise structure but still iam getting the error

Can any one help on this

I would suggest you to run OVX8 once and see you are facing any issues there...

Hi Shakthi,

You just need to highlight the entries in OVR1 and OVR2 and re-save them.

Check table TVTA.

check your assignment of common distribution channel and also if need be common divisions

IMG-SD-Masterdata-Common distribution channel-Common divisions

assign common distribution channel and common division using VOR1 and VOR2

When i am doing the consistacy check for the enterprise structure iam getting this message under Master record conversion

Dist. channel is missing for condition conversion 1500 15

Dist. channel missing for customer/material conversion 1500 15

Can any one help

Assign the distribution channel 15 to common distribution channel 00.and then create the material master.

you could complete the entire sales area assignment

including the plant assignment to company code

the system would then allow to craete the material for the required sales area

please check if you have define the sales area in the organisation structure,

also check if you have assigned the plant to sales org distribution channel

Have u done Set Up Sales Area Tcode OVXG. and Assign distribution channel to sales organization Tcode OVXK.
