In background job all details are not displayed

Hi,

When user runs one report in foreground, he gets all the details. But when the same report he runs in background (with same input data), he doesn't get all the details. This happens intermittently. Has anyone faced this problem earlier? or if someone can let me know why does this happen and what is the solution.

Hi,

Actually problem is not with variant. Because when job runs it shows status as finished but if you check the spool it still shows status as waiting. If report generates 10 pages in foreground then it generates only 2 pages in background. I have given the no. of pages to be displayed through "settings' but still it doesn't display all the details.

Actually problem is something related to output device which we specify in background job but not sure what is the solution.

Hi Kalpesh,

Please check whether the user uses a variant when he executes this particular report and please make sure that the variant has got all the required inputs to execute the report. Normally, In most of the cases, this could be the problem with Background jobs with no output.
