Upgrade MDM on Discovery System

MDM upgrade guide and Installation Guide tells "download the MDM installation package". When I check downloads in SAP Market place, there are too many downloads

Could someone please tell me which downloads are correct installation for:

1. Master Data Server

MDM Server

MDM Import Server

MDM Syndication Server

2. Administration components

MDM Console

3. Client Components

MDM Data Manager

MDM Import Manager

MDM Syndicator

The discovery system runs SQL Server on Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition, 32-bit version.

Server:

MDM server

MDM Import server

MDM Syndication server

MDM Clients:

MDM Console

MDM data manager

MDM Import manager

MDM Syndicator

Data base server:

Sql

Hello,

Thank you very much for taking time to respond my question.

I am looking for downloads to perform upgrade.

In SAP ServiceMarket place, SAP Support Portal, software download.

Click SAP Installation & upgrades, and find SAP MDM. From there,

Click SAP MDM 5.5

Click Installation

Windows Server

MS SQL SERVER

It gives whole list of download objects. Could you please tell me which objects to download ?

To answer my question,

Objects to download are :

Hi Misae,

If you looking for upgrades to your existing MDM server say for eg you were working on MDM5.5 SP05 patch1 and now you wnat to upgrade to the latest version SP06.

You will have to download the latest in the list you have mentioned SAP master Data Management 5.5 SP6 3 .This refers to MDM 5.5 Service Pack SP06 Patch 3.

Also remember to download the related MDM GUI also of the same Patch and version.

MDM Cosole,Data manager ,Import Manager and syndicator.

You could face a issue later on if the versions of the guis and the server does not match.A slight differnce in the build number of teh GUi and the Server is ok to an extend but is always recommented to use the exact version if the build version of the Gui and the MDM server.

Also note that to downlaod the workflow executable file which come along with the server package in case you wish to work with the MDM workflows.It is not a Gui like the rest but is an exceutable file that is necessary to use when working with workflows.

The underlying data base need not be upgraded.
