J2EE engine in NWDS

Former Member

Hi All,

I am having one problem regarding NWDS and J2EE engine setting in NWDS. I have installed NWDS and entered the J2EE engine in NWDS but it is showing as unavailable. What ever I entered for J2EE engine(Host name and Port number) is same as in Syatem information of Application Server. I can able to access the portal url from same machine where I installed NWDS.

What are the possible froblems for this? Please help me in this.

Thanks,

Raz

Hi raz,

Please check te following steps

1. Check telnet (telnet ip 50118) 50118 is SDM Port

2. Again check telnet (telnet ip 3900 ) 3900 is message server port.

Check the SDM & message server ports are opened between your machine and server in firewall

Hi,

If you are not able to connect even after entering correct host and port for SDM, Try adding server ip address and host name in host file. Host file can be found in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc.

It should work.

Thanks
