VD01 - Create Vendor

Hi

When one copies a vendor to another is the master data (address and all that) from the vendor also copied through?

I actually do not remember whether this is a standard functionality or not.

If it does not is there any way to make it so that the data is copied?

Check XK01 - For Create Vendor.

With this t-code you can copy existing vendor.

To view XK03, MKVZ.

thank you for your reply but I tried XK01 and copied an existing vendor into a new onw but no luck, address and so on fields are not copied.

Hi,

System will not copy address data of vendor, when you create vendor with reference of another vendor.

It will copy only company code and purchasing data only.

In general we don't maintain same address for two vendors.
