in sd sales order there is a unit of measurement-we want to give alternative unit of measurement-whereto give in customization

Hi there,

For eg, consider an item pencil. We usually measure pencil each as an item. So base unit of measure is maintained as 'EA' (Each).

But when placing a sales order, we usually order pencils as packs, not as a single item. So we define alternative unit of measure as a PK (pack).

In that case, we maintain the conversion factor for EA - PK, like 1 PK = 10 EA (1 pack contains 10 pensils).

Hi as per my understanding ur scenario is required difference between sales unit and Basic unit of measurement.

this can be done through mm02 (Chnage mode) put the same material name = select Sales Org1 view and maintain sales unit by this change u can meet ur requirement.

Dear joseph

Go to material master, select Additional data tab on top and go to Units of measure. Here you can maintain alternative unit of measure.
