Create Proj Version (OPTS)

Dear All,

When i create profile for project version and i copy from profile 0000001 standard version profile. I got the message :

The entry to copied has dependent entries and it shows some options which is copy all , only copy entry.

What does it mean ?

Please advice.

hi,

System copies the related table entries from varios tables as version is record or snapshot of the project for that instant which contains many object. Thts why system is giving such message.

You can create project version automatically based on the status changes (User or System status)

So when you try to create a new profile referring to existing profile you are provided with 2 options:

1. Copy all

2. Only copy entry

Copy all allows you to copy the user and system status maintained in the referred profile

Only copy entry allows you to copy the profile alone and you set your own user/system status.

Such options appear in quite a few configuration transactions where you have dependent entries., ex., CO version creation etc.,
