Hi,

webservice to rfc

The SOAP adapter enables you to exchange SOAP messages between remote clients or Web service servers and the Integration Server .Any interface which is exposed as a web service can be accessed via the SOAP adapter You use the marketplace adapter to connect the Integration Server to marketplaces. It enables messages to be exchanged by converting the XI message format to the marketplace format MarketSet Markup Language (MML) and the other way

around.

Http to Rfc

HTTP is the standard protocol in every modern piece of software on every modern computer. That makes HTTP support essential for any software that wants to compete in today's software landscape. It's worth noting that SAP supported HTTP before, but on an operating system level, and that was called Remote Function Call (RFC). Now there is no extra step in-between: Instead of going from SAP to RFC to HTTP, it's SAP to HTTP directly.

In HTTP to Rfc for sending a file you need to use HTTP client. There we need to give the XML that is generated in mapping, receiver interface, namespace etc.

And HTTP resides on Integration engine, hence no need of sender comminication channel and sender agreement

Hi,

Real time scenario depends on requirement and client environment, some times same requirement will to with different ways, ie. source and target channels will be change.

1. webservice to RFC

Here source is web service (SOAP) and target is R3 system, this scenario will be configure when sender can provider web service else it is not possible. At receiver end generally will upload data through IDOC, if we want sync communication will go for RFC

2.HTTP to RFc

This requirement is same as above but without webservice

3.file TO RFC

This requirement will come when source data is flat file or xml file and receiver is R3 above we discussed

4.file TO database

This requirement will come when source data is flat file or xml file and receiver is external data base like orcale, Msaccess etc databases

Find below links will help you for configuration

Hi,

Walkthrough - SOAP - XI - RFC

HTTP----RFC

If you use HTTP for sending the data to XI means there is no need of Adapter also. why because HTTP sits on ABAP Stack and can directly communicate with the XI Integration Server Directly

File---JDBC

hi,

there can be numerous examples to site: like an invoice coming in a flat file to be posted to SAP thru RFC (filerfc) or a http request for a costomer's contact details (sync httprfc). these are hypothetical scenarios just to give example.

u may go thru

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e17fdb90-0201-0010-2cb6-fe937f3b...

to get a good feel...

thanks,

latika.
