Dear Praveen,

As IR and ID are works under Java Runtime ( Java Stack)

To start these applications it will take help of Java Runtime Environment installed on your server this invokes Java WebStart.

But these application IDs for IR and ID are picked up from Exchange Profile.

This is used to avoid any java application installation on individual machine. In absence of java web start, if from any machine u want to access IR or ID, then some installation would have been required to perform. This could be a tedious task.

Java web start is platform to launch the java application.

All the file from the central server are copied to the local machine

Hi,

Why because IR and ID are Developed based on JAVA Application and while starting those applications it will search for latest jar files and it will load the application with the Browser.
