Work force planning & tracking graph.

Hi all,

I am stuck up with a issue on creating a report on Work force.

The scenario is such:

Suppose the quantity of work is 1000 m3.

the work is to be completed in 30 days duration.

What is the no. of manpower needed to complete the work on per day basis?

When the actual work starts. The engineer will feed the manpower available per day.

A graph is to be generated which will show the actual manpower present on each day against the planned manpower.

Still now I have tried in the following way:

i) I have created a work center.

In the capacity I have defined 5m3 = 1 hr.

So if per day the work takes place for (say) 10 hrs. then 50m3 can be done.

ii) In Project Builder cj20n -

in the internal activity I have put 30 days in normal duration.

Now , when I am puting 1000m3 in WORK and taking the option calculate capacity from the drop down the system is asking to maintain the unit in Time unit.

How to map this scenario?

And after this how to feed the manpowre on per day basis?

This report is only for tracking purpose . The manpower is external.

Hi,

Create a work center for Labor 1 Man - 1 workcenter

Create a internal activity

Select the work center for labor-- LABOUR

Put the work requirement aagainst Work -- 1000 M3

Against the next cell Number Put number of Labor-- 5 and Percent 100

Against calculation key Select Calculate duration

Enter

In normal duration u can see the System calculated duration
