Hi Ronaldo..

Basically , if you are procuring any materials for the production of the material in your plant , you will raise a purchase requistion, purchase order and then the delivery of the those (raw)materials in your plant.. I could be classified as Inbound delivery.. The delivery type is EL .

And if you deliver any materials(FERT) to your customer and if they return back to you due to some reasons.. then it can be classified as Return delivery . This delivery type is LR.

Inbound and Return delivery differ from each other by lot of aspects...Inbound delivery comes under the purchasing category where as Return delivery comes under sales Category(as its finished product) and also differ by their output types, Output determination procedure, pricing aspects etc.

Hope you find this informative..

Thanks,

Safeer Rahman

Hi,

Returns delivery is one of the examples of inbound delivery in which goods move in the company premises.

Dear Christino

When you procure some components for your production purpose and you inward them, it is called inbound delivery.

You sold some material to your customer which has been rejected and returned to you. The process of inwarding this rejected components is called Return Delivery.

thanks

Conceptually, in both cases there will be inward delivery.

Inbound Delivery is in case of Purchases, from MM side.

Return Delivery is in case of Sales Return, from SD Side.
