Hi,

Can anyone provide me monitoring configuration guide for PI 7.0. Apart from the general configuration guide as in this guide there is nothing available w.r.t. End to End monitoring configuration.

Thanks & Regards,

Manish

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the links and help.

I have cross checked once again, all is same in my config as per the notes and monitoring guides but still don't know why data is not coming in end to end monitoring.

Thanks & Regards,

Manish

Manish,

I have referenced the Troubleshooting guide. It will be worthwhile to read the SAP Notes below and confirm that all checks have been performed.

Refer to the SAP Service Marketplace - Troubleshooting Guide - SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 via url [click here|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000702797&_OBJECT=011000358700000063822008E]

An excerpt.

12 Runtime Workbench & Monitoring

12.1 Runtime Workbench Overview

PI offers a central entry point for monitoring purposes: the Runtime Workbench

(RWB).

Problem

You would like to know about the features of the Runtime Workbench (RWB). In

addition, you want to know how to troubleshoot problems that occur while working in

the RWB.

Solution

For a general overview and further description of the available features, refer to the

SAP Help chapter Monitoring.

Monitoring PI is described in detail in the guide How To Monitor Exchange

Infrastructure 3.0 (not available yet for 7.10, but the XI 3.0/7.0 one can still be used).

For information about troubleshooting the Runtime Workbench, refer to SAP Note

768456 - Troubleshooting Runtime Workbench XI 3.0.

For troubleshooting information about end-to-end monitoring, refer to SAP Note

885405 - Troubleshooting End-to-End Monitoring in XI 3.0.

Hi Mike/Sriniwas,

Addition to my above message. After saving the configuration again its changing RFCs to load balancing (YES).

And in End to End Monitoring its showing that :

"No Instances exist for the selected time period"

I have changed the selection time from yesterday to today 23:00, even then also same message.

Any ideas?

Thanks & Regards

Hi Sriniwas,

I am trying to configure using these help.sap.com steps only for End-to-End monitoring, but while saving configuration its creating RFCs for my R/3 system and all the clients (100,105,106 & 107).

But these RFC's don't work properly, I have to change option to No Load Balancing and then put the password for PIRWBUSER again in the logon/security tab. After that its only getting saved.

Doing all this if I go and run some demo examples and come back to see in End to End monitoring its showing nothing over there no data at all.

Therefore I need any specific guide/doc who is relevant to monitoring configuration for RWB only.

Thanks & Regards,

Manish

Have you looked in the SAP Library at Configuring End-to-End Monitoring?

Refer to the url http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/06/5d1741b393f26fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm and follow the links from there.
