Hi,
I have a problem with two independent processes they hangs about thousands of seconds.
I try to Cancel it without core via SM50 and SAP Managment Console but without success. When I'm cancelling it in SM50 I see in SM21 that the process is being stopped but it works still.
How can I kill hang process in any other way?
Regards
Michal
HI,
Try this ,i think its help you to solve your problem...
Some time admin met some process hang on SAP(NT).Using T-code SM50, we can't stop the process. Therefor SAP can't use this process.
If you want kill process on the NT, use the Task Manager.
1. Find the SAP Process Number on SM50(PID).
2. On the Task Manager, find the process number(PID)ITPUB
3. Choose the pid and then press End Process Button.
It's all..! very simple. But SAP is nor recommanded this action

Hello,
Prabhat,
I don't see any process on the NT with (PID)ITPUB, and if there is any other possibility I would try to something that SAP recommends:)
Ashutosh,
I try via SM50, via SM66. SM04 is not neccessary 'cause these users are not using SAP at the moment.
It looks like only solution is to restart SAP..

Michal

Dear Michal,
In that case you have to restart the Server.Once it had happened with me also user has logged of,his system was shutdown still is sm50 it is showing his workprocess running. Finally I had restarted the server to kill the work process.

hi michal,
we can kill the process in 3 methods.
1) from sm50 or sm66.
2) from task manager.
3) dpmon kill -9 option from the cmd level.
but before killing the process make sure that the user should exit that work process.

bhupesh

Dear Michal,
Try killing it via SM50,if not then SM66 and still not then Via Tcode SM04 and log of that user.It would be good if you contact with that user and ask him to come out of that process.
Even then if it is not being killed then you have to restart you SAP Managment Console .

Ashutosh
