HTTP Access Log

Hello colleagues,

I'm opening this thread in name of Ashvini Singh.

In Bussiness Explorer service (ICF:BEx) of our BW DEV system we are using

form fields (Base 64) based authentication. We have enabled

icm/HTTP/logging_0 parameter with following value:

PREFIX=/sap/,LOGFILE=access_log-%d-%m-%y,LOGFORMAT=%h %l %u %t "%r" %s

%b,MAXSIZEKB=10000,FILEWRAP=on

But in Access log we are not getting User ID detail. We want to have User

ID details in the HTTP access log. We are not using single sign-on.

Please let us know how we can achieve it.

Thanks.

Hi,

I don't think this is possible because the %u parameter is to display the basic authentication user and you don't use basic authentication.

You'll have to check the internal ABAP logs...

As Olivier has pointed that %u will not help in this case so I have to rely on ABAP only. I have enabled security audit in ABAP. Now now I getting user details part from SM20.

Thanks to all for helping.

I have not used this parameter at all.just out of curiosity

I was going through the rz11 and checked the parameter

icm/HTTP/logging_<xx> = PREFIX=<URL prefix>, LOGFILE=<Name of th

log file>, [, LOGFORMAT=<format of the entries>, FILTER=SAPSMD

MAXSIZEKB=<max. size of the log file>,

SWITCHTF=<options for new trace file>, FILEWRAP=on]

Try using filter with both option FILTER=SAPSMD or SAPSMD2 and compare the log.

hope it help.

Thanks

Amit
