Hi,
One way is to Create a Status Profile (BS02) for Quotation (QT), at Header Level.
Example:
Sta No-- Status-- Short Text ---Init St ---Low -HighPosiPriAuth
10 -
NR --- Not released for Processing Checked-10 -20-1-1N/A
20--R-Released -N/A-10--20-1-1-Z1 (Say).
Best regards,
Amit

Hi,
Definitely it will help in your scenerio.
Just Go to: BS02.
Click: New entry (F5).
Maintain entries.
For example:
Status Profile: QT
Text: Quotation Status Profile
Language: EN
Now, Double click on to newly added Status Profile: QT
Maintain User Status as:
10-- NR -- Check Init Status -10-20-11no Auth Code
20R-Don't Check Init Status-1020-1--1-Define Auth Code (Key)*
*************************************************************
*Auth Key
Definition
The authorization key is the basis for status-dependent authorization verification.
Example
Whenever a user status is set or deleted, the user's authorization to do so is checked. The status profile, the object type and the authorization key for the user status concerned are checked.
If, for example, you want to ensure that certain user statuses can be changed only by people in a particular group, you assign all those user statuses an authorization key.
Then use authorization object B_USERSTAT to give authorizations for those authorization keys.
*******************************************************************
Also, You have to Select Object Type, say Quotation Header, and have to maintain Status Profile: Transaction Control for Auth. Code.
Best regards,
Amit.
