issue while installing MAXDB-- wrong parameters

Appreciate your help !!!!!

While I was installing MAXDB which is for open source users, it alwasy prompt following error while installation proceed to create a database instance... have anybody met this error before and how to solve it?

Hello Vivian,

I assume that you use SDBSETUP to install the software and that you have choosen the option to also create a database instance.

Please try if it works if you enter a different user name. SDBSETUP might try to implicitely create a second user which is called DBM - so if you enter DBM as a user two identical users would be created.

Please also let us know which MaxDB version you are using.

I am using this version:

SAP MaxDB 7.6 for Windows (x86, 32 bit) SAP Evaluation Software

(Version 7.6.03.15, approx. 113.36 MB)11 Feb 2008

and based on your direction, I have solved the problem, previously I was installing it with option "desktop PC/laptop", this time I choose "custom", then it is ok without errors! I can complete the installation successfully!
